EOS holds top spot, BTC leaves top ten. New crypto rating from Chinese authorities

China’s Center for Information and Industry Development (CCID) published a new cryptocurrency rating. EOS has managed to retain the top spot, the second place was given to the Chinese cryptocurrency Tron, having shited Ethereum to the third position.

Next in the chart are the Lisk and Steemit projects, the latter recently announced the transition to the Tron blockchain. Bitcoin dropped from 9th to 11th, Ripple rose from 18th to 13th, and BCH lost seven positions and became only 34th.

CCID is a research unit of the Ministry of Industry of China and updates its rating every few months.

Binance CEO: Bitcoin SV is a scam

Last week, the Chinese cryptocurrency exchange FCoin announced that it may not be able to pay 7,000–13,000 BTC that it owes users. The founder of the platform said that the exchange is not an exit scam and has not been hacked.

Binance CEO Zheng Zhao commented on the situation:

“On Chinese social media, I called FCoin a pyramid scheme in mid-2018. Their founder calls his own plan a “better invention than Bitcoin”. That did it for me. Who would say such a thing? About themselves? Except scammers,” — Zhao tweeted.

He also drew a parallel between FCoin and Craig Wright, creator of Bitcoin SV:

“Craig Stephen Wright is a fraud. Investing in a fraud never ends well. Time will tell,” — Binance CEO added.
