“Crazy decade” awaits BTC enthusiasts
Riot Platforms CEO Pierre Rochard believes that the Bitcoin market is in for a “crazy decade” as fund managers invest billions of dollars into the first cryptocurrency. The analyst is confident that the idea that the main digital asset will grow only slightly in the coming years is wrong.
“While people look at the historical price action of Bitcoin and they think, ‘Oh, all the gains are in the past, now it’s a boring asset.’ I think that that’s a very misleading narrative and that they’re going to be caught surprised.” Rochard said.
He believes that in a couple of years, the concept of hyperbitcoinization, in which goods and services will be priced in BTC, replacing fiat, will become a reality. The economic crisis due to growing public debt in many countries will push investment fund managers to include the main cryptocurrency in their portfolios to diversify risks.
The serious prospects of the main digital coin are indicated by the fact that over the past 6 months, wallet holders whose balance exceeds 1,000 bitcoins have acquired 1.5 million BTC. Such data is provided in the CryptoQuant report. Analysts believe that bitcoin whales are expecting the growth of the cryptocurrency against the backdrop of panic among small investors.
