“Great expectations”: Joe Lubin hopes for brighter future for Ethereum after Trump’s win
The incoming U.S. president received more brownie points from a crypto community member. This time, ConsenSys founder Joseph Lubin stated that ETH was “poised to benefit” more from Donald Trump’s victory than any other protocol.
The crypto enthusiast is looking forward to the leadership change at the SEC, whose actions used to strain the development of the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization.
“America has had its boot on the neck of Ethereum for a pretty long time,” he explained.
According to Lubin, Ethereum will benefit more because it is “more mature” than its competition, except for Bitcoin, which is “narrow in its purview.”
Earlier, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin shared his vision for the project’s future. According to him, “aside from Ethereum, no other chain has really gotten to achieve anything close to this [level of decentralization].”
Soon, the ecosystem will undergo several fundamental upgrades, including better decentralization, censorship prevention, and so-called quantum resistance. Ethereum’s scalability will also be enhanced, allowing the platform to process over 100,000 transactions per second with the help of Level 2 solutions. Moreover, the company plans to continue developing various applications, i.e., social networks and payment services.
“We’ve spent a long time making the technology better, and we will continue doing this, but it is at the level where now is the time to build,” Buterin added.
