Over the past 90 days, the Tron network’s income has been higher than Ethereum’s. The project earned about $435 million in fees, while Ethereum received only $364 million. This information is provided by Token Terminal at the end of last week.

Tron creator Justin Sun said that the network’s thirty-day income “exceeded the Ethereum protocol’s income by 50%”.

“If this trend continues, Tron’s protocol revenue could even surpass $2 billion this year, making it the most profitable blockchain on Earth!” the project’s founder noted.

In addition, USDT settlements on the Tron network increased to about 1/3 of the total transaction volume of the Visa payment system for the second quarter of this year, which is $1.25 trillion.

Justin Sun is betting on the emergence of new meme coins that could be launched on the SunPump asset creation platform on the Tron network. The project has previously allocated $10 million, which will be used to issue tokens and test the service.

Memcoins, despite the fact that they are often created as a joke, have proven to be a key factor in the recent growth of the crypto market. Several of them, including SHIBA, PEPE, WIF, and FLOKI, have exceeded the market cap of $1 billion. Tron has allowed the emergence of a Tron-based meme coin that could replicate the success of top meme tokens.

However, one of the criticisms addressed to the services that generate such coins is that they provide a cheap way for criminals to create tokens and attract investors.

“To address this, the Sun team is committed to enhancing our review processes, introducing community oversight, and promoting transparency to ensure the safety and trust of our users,” Justin Sun recently said.

He added: “SunPump conducts a thorough vetting of creators and projects before they are allowed to launch on the platform, helping to ensure that they meet specific standards of integrity
