Gate.io CMO Marie Tatibouet praised the potential of the collectible token industry. She believes that NFTs will be able to overtake BTC in terms of market capitalization.

Tatibouet noted that people are becoming more aware of the NFT and metaverse realm lately. The interest of celebrities and private companies in these industries is constantly growing.

A significant number of new users enter the crypto space for the first time through collectible tokens, and not through “established cryptocurrencies”, as it used to be.

“Many people become market participants by buying NFTs, not bitcoin or ethereum. It seems that going through the KYC procedure (“Know Your Customer”) is no longer considered an obstacle,” said the representative of Gate.io.

Tatibouet believes that the NFT industry is a combination of many things and different applications. She suggested that in 10 years all works of art will be tokenized or will be presented in the form of fractional NFTs.

The expert agrees with the opinion that the NFT sector is now significantly overvalued, so the price of such assets will adjust over time. The excitement around collectible tokens will subside, and their popularity will decrease.

Tatibouet is confident that there will be an absolute adoption of NFTs in the future. Currently, such assets are used primarily as collectibles, but token issuers are developing new options for their use.

A spokeswoman for Gate.io believes that we should expect a surge of interest in collectible tokens after they become more “concrete and tangible.” In addition, Tatibouet called Web3 “an exciting industry” in which users can monetize their skills and talents without professional training in the arts.

Meanwhile, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy recently announced that the marketplace may move into NFT trading in the future. According to the company’s top manager, he “expects NFT to continue to grow very strongly.”

What is the future of the NFT industry, do you think?
